Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Young Buck - Loose My Mind. Hawkins has chosen Stronger-Kanye West as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Kevin Hawkins enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Hawkins!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones with a lazy takedown attempt
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Jones fails to land the takedown.
Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Hawkins which made him look bad.

Hawkins loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.

Hawkins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hawkins on his heels. He'll look to pass Hawkins's guard now, I'm sure.
Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Hawkins is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well.

Hawkins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jones wants to pass the guard but Hawkins is keeping the position.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hawkins swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hawkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hawkins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Hawkins is retaining full guard.

Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hawkins is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jones perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hawkins is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily.
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hawkins keeps working.
Hawkins is in trouble now - Jones has advanced to mount!

Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hawkins defends it nicely.
Jackson Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Hawkins counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Hawkins to acknowledge the strikes.
Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hawkins's waist but Hawkins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackson Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hawkins throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Hawkins counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Hawkins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hawkins throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
A jab lands there for Hawkins.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hawkins is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Hawkins circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Hawkins tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hawkins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hawkins!

Hawkins throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Hawkins throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.
Jones has his takedown stuffed
and Hawkins counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hawkins manages to get himself to full guard.

Kevin Hawkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Hawkins lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Sloppy strikes from Hawkins. Those never looked like landing.

Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hawkins napping and manages to drive through into side control!

And that's the end of the fight!
Kevin Hawkins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Hawkins winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
