Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cole Konrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savage comes into a darkened arena with his song building. OOOOOOHHH YYYYEEEAAAHHH MACHO MAN INTRO MUSIC kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cole Konrad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Savage! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Konrad shoots in for a takedown but Savage shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Savage looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Konrad throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Savage's waist but Savage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Konrad off to one side. Randy Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Savage tries to clinch up and Konrad counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Savage blocking the ground and pound attempt from Konrad. Savage looks like he's trying to stand up.
Savage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Savage is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Savage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Konrad. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savage won't allow Konrad to pass to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Konrad wants to control but Savage is keeping him busy. Konrad slips a nice elbow through Savage's hands, connecting with Savage's forehead. Savage trying to control but Konrad postures up.
Konrad lands strikes from half guard. Konrad wants to pass to mount but Savage is defending the position. Konrad keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Konrad throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Konrad working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Savage is refusing to be controlled, as Konrad sits in half guard. Konrad not landing any meaningful shots this time. Savage tries to get to full guard but Konrad has control of the leg. Savage makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Savage tries to clinch there but Konrad circles away.
Konrad shoots in for a double leg but Savage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cole Konrad. That's going to take a lot out of him. Konrad misses the shot to the body. Savage throws a good cross that connects.
Savage connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Savage tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Konrad paws at him with a jab and circles away. Konrad takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Savage fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Savage wants to clinch. Konrad looks for a takedown but Savage sprawls well. Savage closes the distance but Konrad moves to the side and Konrad counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Savage! Konrad punishing his opponent with strikes. Savage tries to reverse the position but Konrad maintains control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Konrad fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Savage taking shots to the head. A nice elbow there by Konrad.
Savage is rocked! Savage is trying to escape the mount.
Savage is still in real trouble! Can Konrad finish him? Savage really wants to buck Konrad off and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Konrad avoids the attempt from Savage to control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Savage can do anything to dispel that myth. A big strike lands for Konrad! That's really hurt Savage and he's turned his back - Konrad keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Konrad jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cole Konrad! A very excited looking Cole Konrad made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
