The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stiffington throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rod Stiffington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boksic shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boksic showed some decent athleticism there.
Boksic trying to mount his opponent but Stiffington defends it.
Boksic scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Stiffington is trying to get back to full guard.

Boksic postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Stiffington to stand up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters circle momentarily. Stiffington darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Boksic closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Stiffington lands a slapping body shot.
Stiffington is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boksic.

Stiffington loads up on a big right hand but Boksic slips the punch.

Stiffington missing with a left hand there. Boksic was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Boksic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Stiffington throws out a loose jab but Boksic uses good head movement to avoid it.

Stiffington scores with a one two! Boksic had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stiffington works over Boksic's head and body with a nice combination.
Boksic is rocked!
Stiffington batters Boksic with a massive right followed by a huge left! Boksic is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Stiffington lands a final crushing right hand to drop Boksic to the mat with a gruesome thud! Stiffington is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rod Stiffington!
