Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephen Munoz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Barristan Selmy!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Selmy looks to throw the jab but Munoz is out of range.
Munoz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Selmy tries to avoid it but Munoz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Selmy to the ground. Selmy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Selmy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Munoz sprawls well. Munoz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Selmy gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Munoz.

Munoz clinches up with Selmy and pushes him back against the cage.
Munoz tries to stall but Selmy uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Selmy can't get the takedown.
Munoz tries to land a knee to the head but Selmy blocks with his arms.

Selmy wants a takedown but no success here.

Munoz is looking to control Selmy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Munoz avoid being mounted?
Munoz is doing well to control the position and prevent Selmy from advancing to side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Selmy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Munoz sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Selmy shoots in for a double leg but Munoz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Selmy counters with a left to the body.

Munoz shoots in looking for a takedown. Selmy tries to sprawl out of it but Munoz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Selmy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Selmy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Munoz feints a jab promting Selmy to slip. Munoz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Selmy slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Munoz moves away from the strike by Selmy.

Selmy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Munoz to the mat! Munoz manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Selmy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Munoz, up you get!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Selmy is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Munoz closes the distance and clinches up with Selmy, looking for a takedown. Munoz pushes Selmy against the cage but Selmy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Barristan Selmy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Munoz throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Munoz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Selmy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Munoz to the ground. Selmy is now in Munoz's guard.

Munoz has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Selmy off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Munoz gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Selmy.

Selmy is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Munoz can't fight it off and eventually Selmy manages to take the fight to the floor. Munoz looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Selmy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Munoz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Munoz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Selmy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Munoz's head.
Munoz wants to improve his position but Selmy is controlling well.

Stephen Munoz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Barristan Selmy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Selmy winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
