With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tim Martin!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Jay-ar with that takedown attempt.
Martin throws a low kick but Jay-ar moves out of range easily.
Martin misses with a few strikes there.
Martin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jay-ar.
Martin tries a head kick but it misses.
Martin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Martin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jay-ar.
Martin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A punch combination from Martin misses.
Horrible takedown by Jay-ar or perhaps it was just good defense by Martin which made him look bad.

Martin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Martin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jay-ar.

Martin throws a looping overhand right but Jay-ar ducks down to avoid it.

Jay-ar shoots in looking for a takedown. Martin tries to sprawl out of it but Jay-ar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Martin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Martin throws the kick towards the body but Jay-ar avoids it.
Martin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jay-ar slips under a jab from Martin.
Martin misses with a straight right.
Martin looks to land a combination but Jay-ar avoids it well.
Jay-ar slips a jab from Martin.
A slow jab from Martin misses its intended target.
Jay-ar steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Martin.

Jay-ar shoots for a takedown but Martin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jay-ar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jay-ar showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Martin trying to hold on to Jay-ar's head to control him but Jay-ar postures up.

Jay-ar wants to work for an arm triangle but Martin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jay-ar is trying for a kimura here. Martin looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Jay-ar wins by kimura!
