Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dj Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Kowalsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Method Man, Redman- Da Rockwilder blaring out of the sound system. Kowalsky comes into a darkened arena with his song building. face fisted kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Dj Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dj Jones ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jan Kowalsky! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a wild combination.
Jones looks to land a combination. Kowalsky sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Jan Kowalsky has been cut. Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kowalsky was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones . Kowalsky misses with a few strikes there.
Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kowalsky trying to control but Jones postures up.
Kowalsky has his hands clasped together around Jones 's back. He's all about the action. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kowalsky wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kowalsky is positioning himself well to prevent Jones advancing to mount. Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kowalsky has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jan Kowalsky wasn't active enough on the ground. Jones looks to land a combination but Kowalsky avoids it well. The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kowalsky misses the shot to the body. Jones avoids the body shot from Kowalsky.
Kowalsky looking to score a takedown here. Jones is defending well but Kowalsky drives through and ends up in Jones 's guard. Kowalsky with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kowalsky controls the pace. Jones keeping moving, preventing Kowalsky from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kowalsky throws an elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kowalsky's guard. Nice move by Jones ! Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kowalsky is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones , into his guard. Kowalsky trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Kowalsky controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kowalsky throwing strikes but missing. Kowalsky working some strikes from top position. Jones keeping moving, preventing Kowalsky from controlling successfully. Kowalsky might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Kowalsky lands a couple of digs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kowalsky with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Kowalsky trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kowalsky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kowalsky throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Kowalsky lands a couple of elbows. Kowalsky throws a big right hand that misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kowalsky throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kowalsky scoring with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jan Kowalsky dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jan Kowalsky's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kowalsky shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jones is trying to defend but Kowalsky finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kowalsky seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jones is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jan Kowalsky! A relieved looking Jan Kowalsky thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
