Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Spinz Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Brunner! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson tries to clinch up and Brunner counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now. Brunner drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Brunner off! Brunner jumps back into Jackson's guard. Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brunner on the ground. Brunner tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard. Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Brunner is stalling in the full guard. Brunner drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Brunner off! Brunner jumps back into Jackson's guard. Brunner decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Brunner pushes him off. Brunner misses with a wild combination.
Brunner has Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.
Brunner jumps into guard, dragging Jackson to the mat.
Brunner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well. Brunner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jackson defends well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brunner throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Brunner had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jackson defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brunner is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jackson has his hands clasped together but Brunner extends an breaks Jackson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Brunner.
