Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Santos Kazashi! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos Kazashi gets a clinch. Santos Kazashi looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Santos Kazashi blocks an uppercut.
Silva is trying to break the clinch but Santos Kazashi has him pressed against the cage. Santos Kazashi has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Silva regains guard immediately. Santos Kazashi stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Santos Kazashi to the mat! Santos Kazashi manages to get full guard. Silva trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Silva wants to control from the top but Santos Kazashi keeps moving. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Santos Kazashi pushes Silva off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Santos Kazashi gets caught napping as Silva dives in and scores a takedown. Santos Kazashi manages to retain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos Kazashi keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully. Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Silva trying to control but Santos Kazashi is working from the bottom. Santos Kazashi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Santos Kazashi kicks Silva off and gets to his feet. Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Silva scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Silva throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Silva is trying to control. Santos Kazashi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Santos Kazashi is refusing to be controlled, as Silva sits in half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sergio Silva. Silva closes the distance and pushes Santos Kazashi back into the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva working hard to break the clinch. Silva can't break the clinch.
Silva jumps into guard, dragging Santos Kazashi to the mat.
Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos Kazashi decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva lands a takedown into guard.
Santos Kazashi manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Silva moves into the clinch successfully.
Santos Kazashi drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva wants to control from the top but Santos Kazashi keeps moving. Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Silva tries to stand but Santos Kazashi is controlling from the bottom.

Sergio Silva dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva scores with a takedown into Santos Kazashi's guard. Silva wants to pass the guard but Santos Kazashi is keeping the position. Silva wanted to stand there but Santos Kazashi had control of the position. Silva trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Santos Kazashi manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Santos Kazashi stops Silva from standing up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos Kazashi stands up and waves to Silva to follow him. Santos Kazashi clinches with his opponent.
Silva has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Santos Kazashi regains guard immediately. Santos Kazashi pushes Silva off and gets back to his feet.
Santos Kazashi throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. Silva fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A solid body kick from Silva. Silva lets loose with a powerful body kick. Santos Kazashi will feel that in the morning. Santos Kazashi tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silva is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Silva has Santos Kazashi pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Silva pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Santos Kazashi tumbling to the mat - Silva dives into Santos Kazashi's guard. Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos Kazashi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Santos Kazashi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Silva wants to sweep here but Santos Kazashi controlling him for the moment. Silva is working an open guard so Santos Kazashi takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Silva shoots in and bounces Santos Kazashi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Santos Kazashi is looking to stand up but Silva isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos Kazashi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Santos Kazashi has his feet on Silva's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Silva forces Santos Kazashi back against the cage and clinches. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Santos Kazashi keeps control of Silva as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Silva jumps guard and drags Santos Kazashi to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sergio Silva dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Silva looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Santos Kazashi! Santos Kazashi wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Santos Kazashi defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Silva. Silva wants to control the pace but Santos Kazashi is squirming around nicely. Silva jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Santos Kazashi is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Santos Kazashi and Silva has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santos Kazashi keeps working. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Santos Kazashi throws Silva to one side and escapes! Silva closes the distance and clinches. Silva throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Santos Kazashi blocks it with crossed arms. Santos Kazashi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Silva looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Santos Kazashi! Santos Kazashi trying desperately to get to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva trying to control but Santos Kazashi is having none of it. Silva sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Santos Kazashi is squirming around, avoiding Silva's attempts to control the action. Silva with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Santos Kazashi bucks Silva off and manages to get back to his feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Santos Kazashi is trying to defend but Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Santos Kazashi kicks off Silva and gets to his feet. Silva has closed the distance and engaged Santos Kazashi in a clinch.
Santos Kazashi goes for a takedown attempt but Silva pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Silva clinches up against the cage. Silva lands a knee to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva lands a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos Kazashi wriggles free and stands up. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silva gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Silva taking a breather. Silva is defending well against a takedown attempt. Michael Santos Kazashi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Silva tries to break free but Santos Kazashi pushes him back against the cage. Silva gets a trip takedown into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silva blocks the strikes from Santos Kazashi.

And that's the end of the fight! Sergio Silva showed his dominance in that final round. Well Silva has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
