Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ben Bitag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donkier The Slick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Bitag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Donkier The Slick!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bitag shoots in for a takedown but The Slick shows good takedown defense.
A leg kick checked by Bitag.
The Slick dodges the punch combination from Bitag.

The Slick dives in and scores a takedown into Bitag's guard.
Bitag manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bitag throwing strikes here but The Slick is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Bitag trying to control but The Slick is having none of it.
The Slick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bitag. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The Slick sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Bitag wants to pass the guard but The Slick is defending well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Slick can do anything to dispel that myth.

The Slick has his foot on Bitag's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bitag works his way back into a safe position though.
Bitag throws a strike but The Slick rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bitag looking for a guillotine here but The Slick defends easily.
The Slick makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Bitag has his feet on The Slick's thighs here. He's pushed The Slick off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! The Slick screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ben Bitag!
After the fight, Ben Bitag was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
