The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owth steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Grimaldi .
Grimaldi throws a leg kick but Owth sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Grimaldi misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Owth counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Grimaldi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Owth's sensitive parts.

Owth avoids the body shot from Grimaldi .
Grimaldi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Owth shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grimaldi as he jumps to the side.
Owth just misses with a punch to the body.

Grimaldi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Owth looks for a takedown but Grimaldi sprawls well.
Owth misses the shot to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Grimaldi . No joy for Owth on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruben Owth. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Owth takes a swing at Grimaldi 's ribcage but misses.
Grimaldi looks to score with a jab to the body but Owth is just out of range.
Owth shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Owth was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
