Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Mattenbauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarek Stamm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stamm has chosen Beton!! as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mathew Mattenbauer! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jarek Stamm! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stamm avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A chopping leg kick lands by Stamm. Mattenbauer misses the shot to the body. Mattenbauer misses the shot to the body. Stamm uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mattenbauer. Mattenbauer looks to land a left hand but Stamm moved out of range nicely. Mattenbauer rushes Stamm and presses him up against the cage. Mattenbauer will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Stamm up against the cage. A short right from Mattenbauer on the inside. Stamm goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Stamm wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mattenbauer has him pressed against the cage. Mattenbauer keeps control of Stamm as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Stamm takes a shot to the head. Stamm working hard to break the clinch. Mattenbauer stalling in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stamm working hard to break the clinch. Mattenbauer is working Stamm over against the cage. Stamm is looking to break free of the clinch but Mattenbauer has double underhooks. Mattenbauer stalling against the cage.
Mattenbauer wants the takedown. Stamm is fighting it off but Mattenbauer persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Stamm's guard against the cage. Stamm is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stamm can do anything to dispel that myth. Mattenbauer trying to control but Stamm is working from the bottom. Mattenbauer advances to half guard. Stamm taking some punishment here, with Mattenbauer in his half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stamm on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Mattenbauer slips a nice elbow through Stamm's hands, connecting with Stamm's forehead. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mattenbauer winds up and cracks Stamm with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Mattenbauer works his way into full mount! Mattenbauer is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Stamm can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Mattenbauer pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Mattenbauer scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Stamm?
Stamm is rocked! Mattenbauer lands a big elbow - Stamm is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Stamm is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Mathew Mattenbauer! Mathew Mattenbauer is the new light heavyweight champion! Mathew Mattenbauer decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
