Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Zhakatyz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenik Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zhakatyz comes to the cage accompanied by Allegria. The crowd seem to be enjoying Khan's choice of entrance music: Mr. Crowley. Lenik Khan looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabriel Zhakatyz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lenik Khan! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zhakatyz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Khan paws at him with a jab and circles away. Khan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Zhakatyz throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Lenik Khan has been cut. Gabriel Zhakatyz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zhakatyz doesn't manage to clinch there - Khan circles away.
Zhakatyz lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! No luck with that takedown attempt from Zhakatyz. Zhakatyz tries to clinch but Khan is having none of it. Zhakatyz lands a nice looking kick to the body. Khan takes a step back to recover. Zhakatyz wants to clinch up but Khan keeps it at a distance. Zhakatyz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Khan sprawls well initially but Zhakatyz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Zhakatyz passes to full mount! Zhakatyz controlling from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zhakatyz stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zhakatyz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Khan is working an open guard so Zhakatyz takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Zhakatyz gets in close and instigates a clinch. Zhakatyz with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Zhakatyz using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Zhakatyz manages to break the clinch.
Zhakatyz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Khan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Zhakatyz somewhat. A chopping leg kick lands by Zhakatyz.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zhakatyz tries to clinch up. Zhakatyz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Zhakatyz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Zhakatyz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Khan's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Khan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Zhakatyz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gabriel Zhakatyz. Zhakatyz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Khan on his heels. He'll look to pass Khan's guard now, I'm sure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zhakatyz gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Khan blocks a head kick by Zhakatyz.

Khan stuffs the takedown attempt from Zhakatyz. Zhakatyz gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Zhakatyz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zhakatyz buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Khan throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Zhakatyz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Khan's guard now. Zhakatyz looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Khan doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zhakatyz works a leg free and moves into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zhakatyz frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Zhakatyz working Khan over with strikes here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Khan can do anything to dispel that myth. Zhakatyz breaks from Khan's wrist control and lands an elbow. Zhakatyz controlling the position easily from mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Zhakatyz is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Khan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Khan is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gabriel Zhakatyz dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lenik Khan's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Zhakatyz is looking to clinch but Khan is avoiding it.
Zhakatyz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Zhakatyz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Khan can do to turn this around? Zhakatyz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Zhakatyz tries a head kick but it misses.
Zhakatyz tries for a takedown but Khan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Zhakatyz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Zhakatyz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Khan defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Zhakatyz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zhakatyz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That has opened up Lenik Khan's cut even more.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zhakatyz throws a right and a left that both miss. Zhakatyz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Khan quickly recovers to half guard. Zhakatyz wants to stand up but Khan is controlling the position.
Zhakatyz is figuring out what he wants to do next. Khan is refusing to be controlled, as Zhakatyz sits in half guard. Zhakatyz is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Zhakatyz tries to control but Khan wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zhakatyz with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Zhakatyz wants to control the pace but Khan is squirming around nicely. Khan is in all sorts of trouble here.
Khan is squirming around, avoiding Zhakatyz's attempts to control the action. Zhakatyz stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Khan stalks Zhakatyz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Zhakatyz's face. Zhakatyz staggers backwards, shaken.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan takes a kick to the side of the head. Zhakatyz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Khan pinned against the cage. Khan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Zhakatyz walks into a stiff left hand from Khan. Zhakatyz moves into range and connects with a jab. Zhakatyz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Zhakatyz uses his free foot to push down on Khan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Khan. Khan is squirming around, avoiding Zhakatyz's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zhakatyz scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Khan?
Khan can't escape the position.
Zhakatyz controlling his opponent. Zhakatyz is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Khan is surviving well by controlling Zhakatyz's body position as best he can. This has been an exciting period of action! Khan is squirming around, avoiding Zhakatyz's attempts to control the action. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zhakatyz sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gabriel Zhakatyz dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Lenik Khan's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Khan throws a leg kick but Zhakatyz moved away. Zhakatyz stuns Khan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Zhakatyz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Khan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zhakatyz. Khan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Zhakatyz to score an easy takedown into full guard. Zhakatyz gets to his feet - Khan follows without any prompting. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Zhakatyz lands a high kick!
That's one minute gone in the round. Zhakatyz shoots for a double leg takedown but Khan sprawls well. He's pushed Zhakatyz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Zhakatyz moves into the clinch. Zhakatyz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Khan uses from the top position. Zhakatyz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Khan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Zhakatyz to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Khan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Zhakatyz pulls down on the head and he's put Khan to sleep! This one is all over!
