Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Kornev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruslan Baroev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kornev might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Linda - North Wind. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kornev defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Baroev.
Kornev lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kornev throws a front kick that sends Baroev stumbling back into the cage.
Kornev throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kornev lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Ruslan Baroev has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Baroev looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kornev gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Baroev counters with a nice leg kick.
Kornev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Baroev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Baroev looks gassed!
Kornev lands a leg kick that knocks Baroev off balance momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baroev takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Baroev misses with a two punch combination.
Kornev forces Baroev back against the cage and clinches.
Kornev scores a nice knee to the body.
Kornev connects with a knee to the head.
Kornev breaks from the clinch.
Kornev gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Baroev is rocked!
Kornev lands an elbow inside.
Baroev is still on wobbly legs! Can Kornev finish him?
Kornev jerks Baroev's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Baroev drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Kornev goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Kornev because Baroev was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Ivan Kornev!
