Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grandmaster Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Rush is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Rush! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grandmaster Red! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Red throws a lazy head kick and Rush counters with a left to the body. Rush closes the distance and clinches up with Red, looking for a takedown. Rush pushes Red against the cage but Red circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Some wild striking there from Red.
Red lands a nice hook to Rush's body. Rush takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Rush darts in trying to clinch and Red cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rush throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Red sees it coming and avoids it easily. A head kick misses from Red. Rush throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Red's waist but Red gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rush off to one side. Red misses with a leg kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. A decent looking cross lands there for Red. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rush tries to clinch and Red counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Red throws a right hand that misses
and Rush counters with a left and a right that stings Red.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick by Red misses and Rush decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Red's guard. Rush throwing strikes but missing. Red trying to control the position here. Rush wants to control from the top but Red keeps moving. Red pulls Rush in to control the position. Rush passes Red's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Red is staying active underneath Rush, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Red keeping control of the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rush is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Red keeping control of the position. Red wants to get back to full guard. Red wants to control the action here but instead Rush manages to pass to full mount! Red is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rush misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Rush working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Rush missing with strikes from the back. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rush tries to get the hooks in deep but Red pushed the leg off. Rush missing with strikes. Red is in bad spot here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Red really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rush. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rush has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Red has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Red tries to escape but Rush has the hooks in and won't let him break free. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jacob Rush will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Red fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rush checks it well. Red stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rush fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Red lands a jab.

Rush takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Rush takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Rush shoots in and drives through. Red sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacob Rush. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rush looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Red is fending him off so far but Rush persists. Nope, Red circles away and we're back to standing. Red with a hook. Red scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Rush is rocked! Red lands with a right hand. Oh Rush is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Red throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Rush's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Red dives in looking to finish as Rush flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Red's strikes! Red is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Rush's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Rush was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
