And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kaimana Kalainawai!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalainawai digs a good body shot into Vronsky's ribs.
Kalainawai swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vronsky moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Vronsky darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kaimana Kalainawai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kalainawai lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Nice jab there from Kalainawai.
Vronsky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kalainawai.

Vronsky decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Vronsky is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kalainawai is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Vronsky wants to control the pace but Kalainawai is squirming around nicely.
Kalainawai wants to hold on but Vronsky pushes him away.

The referee warns Kalainawai that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Vronsky landing strikes from the mount and Kalainawai is in trouble!

Kalainawai wants to hold on but Vronsky pushes him away.
Vronsky lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vronsky wants to control the pace but Kalainawai is squirming around nicely.
Kalainawai wants to control but Vronsky is having none of it.
Kalainawai is working to get back to half guard.
Vronsky can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kalainawai is looking to escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kalainawai can't escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kalainawai regains half guard.
Vronsky thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kalainawai's head.
Vronsky passes to side control.
Vronsky advances nicely into full mount.
Vronsky punishing his opponent with strikes.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Vronsky connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kalainawai can't escape the position.
Vronsky scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kalainawai?

Kalainawai is rocked!
Kalainawai tries to reverse the position but Vronsky maintains control.
Kalainawai is still in real trouble! Can Vronsky finish him?
Vronsky looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Kalainawai covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

After winning the bout, Michael Vronsky thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
