The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson walks into a stiff left hand from Suggs.
Suggs throws a left and a right that both miss
and Peterson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Suggs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Peterson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Peterson counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Suggs down! Peterson is looking to finish but Suggs is intelligently defending himself.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Peterson drops back looking for a leg! Suggs is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Suggs manages to kick Peterson off! Peterson jumps back into Suggs's guard.

Peterson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Peterson tries for a kimura but Suggs is defending well.

Peterson has an Americana. Suggs didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Peterson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Peterson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
