The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots in for a takedown but Makinwa shows good takedown defense.
Nice takedown defense from Makinwa. No joy for Santos on that attempt.
Makinwa pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Santos back to the cage. Makinwa follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Makinwa cracks Santos with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ugor Makinwa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makinwa bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Makinwa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Santos tries to clinch but Makinwa moves out of range.

Makinwa sends Santos crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Makinwa is motioning to the referee to let Santos up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Makinwa digs a good body shot into Santos's ribs.
Makinwa connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Santos! He's out on his feet! Makinwa rushes in and drops Santos with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
