Benoit comes into the arena with TNT - ACDC blaring out of the sound system. Bobby Benoit has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benoit will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A slow jab from Benoit misses its intended target.
Benoit throws a right hand that misses
and Mcdonald counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Benoit throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mcdonald swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Mcdonald on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Benoit takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mcdonald does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Benoit misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Benoit looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mcdonald lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Benoit lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Micheal Mcdonald has been cut.
Benoit throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mcdonald moves out of range of the strikes.
Benoit throws a big shot that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Benoit drops Mcdonald with a huge uppercut! Mcdonald drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Benoit is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Benoit!
A relieved looking Bobby Benoit thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
