PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddy McMan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McMan comes to the cage accompanied by Send me on my way - Rusted Root. Dixon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I like rice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon misses with a series of wild punches.
Left hook, right uppercut from McMan.
Luca Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dixon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dixon closes the distance and clinches up with McMan, looking for a takedown. Dixon pushes McMan against the cage but McMan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dixon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Dixon jumps guard and drags McMan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Dixon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Luca Dixon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Dixon has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Dixon tries to close the distance and clinch up but McMan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McMan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dixon to score with a decent uppercut.

McMan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dixon's waist but Dixon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McMan off to one side.

McMan gets tackled into the cage by Dixon. Dixon maintains the clinch.

I would just about give that final round to Luca Dixon.
Well Dixon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
