Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Antonio Livingston!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Livingston counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hunt won't be happy with that.
Livingston is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hunt is pushing Livingston's head away, looking to escape. Livingston manages to hold on to the position though.
Hunt gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Livingston content just to control the position here.
Hunt is trying to stand.
Livingston is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hunt can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You get the feeling that Hunt really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Livingston swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
