Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kawai Dudoit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Styles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Styles's choice of entrance music: Underground Kings. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dudoit wants to clinch but Styles slips to the side
and Styles counters with a head kick. That will keep Dudoit thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Dudoit tries to score a power double leg takedown but Styles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dudoit somewhat.
Dudoit moves out of range of the body kick.
Dudoit fails with a takedown attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Dudoit. Those never looked like landing.
An inside leg kick from Styles misses.
Dudoit shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Styles as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kawai Dudoit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dudoit forces Styles back against the cage and clinches.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dudoit throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Styles throws a low kick, looking for Dudoit's leg but Dudoit calmly moves out of range.
Styles tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dudoit was well out of range. Poor timing from Styles.
Styles has Dudoit up against the cage in a clinch.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Styles holds on and takes a little breather.
Dudoit won't allow Styles to sweep him here.
Styles is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Styles not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Dudoit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Styles swivels though and keeps the full guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. TJ Styles hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Styles misses the shot to the body.
Dudoit has his takedown stuffed
and Styles cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dudoit is breathing heavily.
Styles closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dudoit quickly recovers to half guard.
Styles is trying to control the action in half guard but Dudoit is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Styles content to control rather than advance.

Styles is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Dudoit takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Styles is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Styles scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Dudoit?

Styles pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Styles closes the distance and pushes Dudoit back into the cage.
Styles looking to throw knees to the head but Dudoit is blocking nicely.
Styles tries to pull guard but Dudoit holds him up against the cage and eventually Styles drops back down to his feet.
Dudoit gets control of Styles's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dudoit will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Styles is looking to advance position but Dudoit won't allow it.

Styles dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Styles misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dudoit tries to close the distance and clinch but Styles swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dudoit shoots in looking for a takedown but Styles manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dudoit's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dudoit fails with an attempt to clinch.

Dudoit closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dudoit lands in his opponent's guard.
Dudoit is fighting to break Styles's control of his arms but Styles is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Styles is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dudoit is aware though and is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dudoit missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Styles manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Styles throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dudoit.
Styles shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Dudoit keeping moving, preventing Styles from controlling successfully.
Dudoit wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Styles manages to pass to side control.
Styles looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dudoit with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Styles uses his free foot to push down on Dudoit's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dudoit.

BOOM! Styles connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Styles sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Styles lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Styles working for a guillotine from mount but Dudoit is in no mood to give up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Styles looking to isolate an arm here. Dudoit doesn't see it coming and as Styles extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Styles!
