PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Colclough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dominick Faber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jake Colclough!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faber tries to keep at a distance but Colclough has taken the fight into the clinch.
Faber looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Colclough blocks an uppercut.
Faber tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Colclough just stands there and leans against the cage.

Colclough's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Faber enables Colclough to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Faber manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Colclough sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Faber's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Colclough slows the pace down in half guard.
Colclough passes the guard and advances to mount!
Colclough with good strikes from the mount here!
Colclough pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee warns Faber that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Colclough swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jake Colclough!
