Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Collin Challis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Christ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christ has chosen All that Heavenly Glory as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Collin Challis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jesus Christ! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christ changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Challis tries to avoid it but Christ manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Challis to the ground. Challis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Challis connects with a single shot there. Christ moves out of range of the strikes. Christ scores with a takedown into Challis's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Christ drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Christ jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Christ in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Challis wants to stand but Christ is controlling the position. Christ missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Challis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Christ! Challis tries to stand up but Christ grabs his leg and drags him down! Christ is now on top, in side control. Christ wants to lay and pray for a moment but Challis keeps working. Christ has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Challis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Christ wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Challis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Challis tries to get out of the position. Christ scoring with punches and elbows. Christ is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Challis has escaped the position, nice work there. Christ thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Christ is trying to get an arm triangle but Challis is defending well. This has been an exciting period of action! Christ is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Challis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Christ is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Challis sees it coming and defends easily. Christ seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Challis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Christ working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Christ prevents Challis from improving his position.

Challis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Challis manages to kick Christ off! Christ jumps back into Challis's guard. Challis has his feet on Christ's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Christ doesn't succeed with the takedown and Challis counters with a nice leg kick. Challis misses with a hook. Christ ducked under it nicely. The judges will like that one. Challis looks to land a body kick but Christ moved away. Challis scores with a head kick. Christ tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Christ closes the distance and clinches up with Challis, looking for a takedown. Christ pushes Challis against the cage but Challis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Christ drops his hands momentarily and Challis takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Collin Challis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Challis slaps away a takedown attempt from Christ, before circling back to the center of the mat. Challis throws a body punch but Christ moves out of range. Challis throws a low kick but it's checked well by Christ. A lazy left from Challis finds it's target. Christ closes this distance looking for a takedown but Challis circles away. A low kick from Challis lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Christ has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Christ and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Challis with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
