Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vangaard pivots, looking for a leg kick but Silva is out of range and Vangaard settles back down.
Silva misses with a body shot
and Vangaard counters with a takedown into side control.

Vangaard has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Silva regains guard immediately.
Vangaard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vangaard tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vangaard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vangaard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Vangaard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vangaard has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vangaard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sergio Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

David Vangaard spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
