Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sasa Sladkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Salcedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sasa Sladkov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Salcedo! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sladkov blocks a head kick by Salcedo.
Sladkov looks to throw the jab but Salcedo is out of range. Sladkov slips under a jab. Salcedo uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sladkov has time to react. Salcedo throws out a loose jab but Sladkov uses good head movement to avoid it. Sladkov slips a straight right by Salcedo. Salcedo misses with a right hand and Sladkov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Salcedo drops his hands momentarily and Sladkov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Salcedo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Salcedo lands in his opponent's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Salcedo trying to control the position from guard on top but Sladkov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sladkov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Salcedo controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salcedo trying to control but Sladkov is working from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jose Salcedo wasn't active enough on the ground. Sladkov moves out of range of the strikes. Sladkov throws a low kick, looking for Salcedo's leg but Salcedo calmly moves out of range. Jose Salcedo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salcedo avoids a low kick by using good footwork. A chopping leg kick lands by Sladkov. Sladkov looks to throw the jab but Salcedo is out of range. A leg kick checked by Sladkov.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salcedo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sladkov was well out of range. Poor timing from Salcedo. Salcedo checks the leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Salcedo. Sladkov does a little dance to reset his feet. Sladkov avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Sladkov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Salcedo can pounce on him.
Sladkov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Salcedo misses with a right hand and Salcedo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Salcedo misses with an uppercut. Salcedo throws an off balance right hand
and Sladkov counters with a lovely shot to the body. Salcedo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sladkov's guard. Salcedo won't allow Sladkov to sweep him here. Sladkov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sladkov keeping moving, preventing Salcedo from controlling successfully. Salcedo throws a big right hand that misses. Salcedo throws a big right hand that misses. Salcedo wants to control from the top but Sladkov keeps moving. Salcedo being controlled here momentarily.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sladkov on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Salcedo. Salcedo obviously looking to wear him down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salcedo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A jab from Sladkov does it's job there. Salcedo is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Salcedo lands a jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Salcedo throws a quick inside leg kick. Salcedo shoots in but no luck this time. Salcedo clobbers Sladkov with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Salcedo just misses with a punch to the body.
Salcedo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sladkov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Salcedo. Salcedo misses with an uppercut. Sasa Sladkov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A swing and a miss from Sladkov. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sasa Sladkov will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jose Salcedo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Sladkov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Salcedo sprawling to the canvas! Salcedo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Sladkov finish him?!
It looks like Jose Salcedo has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters circling - Salcedo throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Salcedo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Salcedo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sladkov.

Sladkov defending well as Salcedo loads up on a big left hand. Salcedo throws out a loose jab but Sladkov uses good head movement to avoid it. Salcedo throws an overhand right that lands on Sladkov's shoulder, as Sladkov tries to avoid the shot. Sladkov misses with a double jab.
Sladkov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Salcedo manages to avoid it. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Sladkov here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Sladkov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Salcedo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sladkov backs up against the cage.

Salcedo connects with a body shot. Salcedo misses with a shot to the body enabling Sladkov to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salcedo connects with a leg kick. Sladkov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Salcedo throws a sloppy body shot
and Sladkov counters with a lovely shot to the body. Sladkov fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Salcedo is out of range. Salcedo jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sladkov jabs Salcedo to the body, keeping him at a distance. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sladkov scores with a punch to the head. Sladkov cracks Salcedo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sladkov has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Salcedo to stand back up!
Salcedo is rocked! Salcedo glances at the clock... BAM! Sladkov nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Salcedo crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Salcedo is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sasa Sladkov! Sasa Sladkov retains his heavyweight title!
