Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randall McMurphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laph Roaig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McMurphy comes into the arena with I own Golly God. blaring out of the sound system. Roaig comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Doors - Alabama song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Randall McMurphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Laph Roaig! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McMurphy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
An inside leg kick from Roaig misses. McMurphy tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Roaig scores with a push kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Roaig. McMurphy does a little dance to reset his feet. Roaig scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. McMurphy throws out a loose jab but Roaig uses good head movement to avoid it. A nice leg kick lands there from Roaig. Roaig misses with a head kick.
McMurphy takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. McMurphy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McMurphy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Roaig. McMurphy does a little dance to reset his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A good leg kick by Roaig. Roaig ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McMurphy moves away.

Roaig connects with a leg kick. McMurphy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Laph Roaig seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McMurphy blocks a low kick nicely.

McMurphy ducks right into an uppercut from Roaig. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McMurphy rushes Roaig and presses him up against the cage. McMurphy wants to stall.

McMurphy has had enough of the clinch but Roaig keeps him there for the moment. Both guys are working to get underhooks. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. McMurphy takes a shot to the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A hook to the body from Roaig.
A short right from Roaig. Roaig tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McMurphy's elbow. McMurphy is trying to maintain a safe position but Roaig gets an underhook and turns McMurphy into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Laph Roaig dominated that round. The cut man is working on Randall McMurphy's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
McMurphy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Roaig throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Roaig turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Roaig with a body punch. A glancing blow. A punch lands to the side of McMurphy 's head but he takes it in his stride. Roaig attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. McMurphy throws a lazy right hand but Roaig sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. McMurphy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Roaig momentarily.
It looks like Laph Roaig has been cut. A solid body kick from Roaig. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McMurphy tries to clinch up. Roaig is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down McMurphy rather than just go for the knockout. McMurphy darts in and clinches Roaig up against the cage. Roaig digs a right hand into McMurphy's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on McMurphy's gas tank. Roaig can't find room to land a body shot as McMurphy controls the action.

Randall McMurphy's cut is getting worse. McMurphy throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Roaig throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Roaig goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McMurphy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. That kick from Roaig tenderised McMurphy's leg. McMurphy is trying to keep his angry face on. McMurphy scores with the left hand. Roaig knows he should have avoided that one. Good leg kick by Roaig there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Roaig goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. McMurphy throws a looping overhand right but Roaig ducks down to avoid it. Roaig lands a nice looking kick to the body. McMurphy takes a step back to recover. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Roaig throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. McMurphy looks to score with a jab to the body but Roaig is just out of range. Roaig ducks right into an uppercut from McMurphy. Roaig takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Roaig throws the kick towards the body but McMurphy avoids it. Laph Roaig seems to be getting the better of the standup. McMurphy throws a big shot that misses. Roaig connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McMurphy's hands. McMurphy fails with an attempt to clinch.

Roaig moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Roaig scores with a kick to the midsection. Roaig feints and then cracks McMurphy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McMurphy down. Roaig has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Roaig slips a straight right by McMurphy. Roaig just misses with a punch to the body.
McMurphy has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. McMurphy takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Laph Roaig showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Roaig lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Roaig connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McMurphy momentarily.
Roaig tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McMurphy was well out of range. Poor timing from Roaig. McMurphy has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Roaig. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Roaig, right into the meat.

McMurphy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roaig scores with a one two! McMurphy had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Roaig throws a leg kick but McMurphy sees it coming and moves out of range.

Roaig steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McMurphy. A nice leg kick lands there from Roaig. Roaig lands a head kick. McMurphy smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Randall McMurphy's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Roaig pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Roaig scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Roaig. McMurphy shrugs it off though. Roaig throws a body punch but McMurphy moves out of range. McMurphy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. McMurphy avoids the body shot from Roaig.
Roaig throws a solid leg kick but McMurphy takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Roaig. Randall McMurphy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Laph Roaig is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. McMurphy is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Roaig lands with a nice body punch. Roaig goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. McMurphy walks forward, straight into a front kick from Roaig. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Roaig throws a right hand that McMurphy ducks under and follows up with a left that McMurphy also avoids with ease. McMurphy avoids the head kick by Roaig.

and Roaig counters with a good, hard body kick but McMurphy shrugs it off. Roaig looks to land a body kick but McMurphy moved away. Roaig misses with a body kick. Roaig has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. McMurphy swings and misses with a hook to the body.

McMurphy will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Roaig throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McMurphy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Roaig sees it coming and avoids it easily. Roaig delivers a nice body kick. A combination from Roaig does no damage. Roaig connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. McMurphy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Roaig dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McMurphy. That did some damage! Roaig fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Roaig lands a nice leg kick that just misses McMurphy's sensitive parts. A decent looking body kick lands there for Roaig. Roaig throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Roaig works the jab nicely. Roaig lands a head kick!

And that's the end of the fight! Laph Roaig comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Roaig has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
