Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jim Beckett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lonny Spiller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spiller has chosen I Wanna Chill as his entrance music. Lonny Spiller is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Beckett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lonny Spiller! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beckett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spiller swats him away and circles back towards the center. Spiller takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Spiller on the wrong end of a nice jab. Spiller with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Beckett to score with a decent uppercut. Spiller shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Beckett counters with a lovely shot to the body. Spiller scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Beckett cracks a nice hook into Spiller's ribs. Beckett looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Spiller! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Beckett working Spiller over with strikes here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Beckett landing strikes from the mount and Spiller is in trouble! Beckett takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spiller tries to hold on but Beckett pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beckett landing strikes from the mount and Spiller is in trouble! Spiller keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Beckett looking to control and managing it successfully. Spiller is bucking up trying to escape but Beckett cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spiller defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Beckett. Beckett landing strikes from the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Beckett in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Beckett unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Spiller wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Beckett celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
