Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Barca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barca is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: AC/DC: Hell's Bells. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Thunder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hannibal Barca!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barca pinned against the cage. Barca gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hannibal Barca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thunder changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barca looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Barca is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Thunder working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Thunder is looking to take a break and control but Barca is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barca wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Thunder is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Barca is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Barca decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Thunder, up you get!

Barca throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Thunder.

Thunder shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barca as he jumps to the side.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Barca drops Thunder with a left and a right! Oh, Thunder is hurt - Barca dives into side control looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The ground and pound from Barca seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Thunder is trying to control Barca's posture but Barca avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thunder is trying to improve his position.

Barca is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Thunder's shoulder. That is not cool.
Barca stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Barca works the jab nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Barca swings for the body but Thunder moves out of range.
Thunder fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Barca sprawls well initially but Thunder persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Barca tries to kick Thunder off but Thunder keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Thunder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Barca is just riding it out for now. Thunder eventually gives up the hold.

Thunder is looking for a kimura but Barca is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Thunder to get the leverage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thunder looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Barca with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Thunder looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Barca is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Thunder trying to control the action but Barca is working from the bottom.
Thunder wants to free his trapped foot but Barca is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Barca connects with a jab.
Thunder looks for a takedown but Barca sprawls well.
Barca throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Thunder shoots in looking for a takedown. Barca tries to sprawl out of it but Thunder keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barca manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Barca stuns Thunder with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Thunder takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Thunder shoots for a double leg takedown but Barca sprawls well. He's pushed Thunder's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Barca is pushing Thunder's head away, looking to escape. Thunder manages to hold on to the position though.

Thunder is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Barca knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Thunder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barca keeps working.

Thunder will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Thunder goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Barca has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Thunder but great work by Barca.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hannibal Barca showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Barca tries to bum rush Thunder with a series of wild strikes but Thunder uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
