Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neil Fallon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Walker! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker is looking to clinch but Fallon is avoiding it.
Walker uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fallon. Fallon fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Walker tries to clinch up but Fallon circles away and keeps his distance. Walker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fallon paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fallon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Fallon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Walker slips under a jab from Fallon. Fallon misses the shot to the body. Walker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fallon paws at him with a jab and circles away. Walker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Fallon can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Walker unloads a knee to the mid-section. Fallon lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Walker drags the fight down to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker keeping full guard, as Fallon tries to pass. Fallon trying to control but Walker is working from the bottom. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Walker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Fallon misses with a two punch combination.
Fallon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walker as he jumps to the side. Walker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fallon swats him away and circles back towards the center. Walker fails with an attempt to clinch.

Walker is looking to stand up but Fallon isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Walker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fallon. Fallon prevents Walker from getting back to his feet. Fallon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fallon trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fallon tries to free his leg and advance position but Walker is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fallon lands a nice short elbow. Fallon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Walker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Walker is trying to stand.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth. Fallon missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Fallon is keen to just control but Walker is a slippery customer. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fallon trying to pass the guard but Walker defending well. Fallon is trying to control the action in half guard but Walker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Fallon working Walker over with strikes. Fallon wants to control but Walker is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fallon with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Fallon wants to free his trapped foot but Walker is holding on for dear life with his legs. Fallon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Walker moves in looking to clinch but Fallon pushes him off. Walker rushes Fallon and presses him up against the cage. Walker landing knees to the body.
Walker has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fallon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Neil Fallon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Walker. Fallon looking to stall.

Fallon regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fallon throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fallon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walker pinned against the cage. Walker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Fallon misses with a few strikes there.
Walker slips a straight right by Fallon. Walker is looking to clinch but Fallon is avoiding it.
Fallon lands a really nice looking cross but Walker seems unphased.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Neil Fallon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Walker moves in looking to clinch but Fallon pushes him off. Fallon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walker as he jumps to the side. Fallon throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Fallon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Walker sprawls well initially but Fallon persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fallon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fallon slips a nice elbow through Walker's hands, connecting with Walker's forehead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fallon throwing shots but Walker is blocking nicely. Walker trying to hold on to Fallon's head to control him but Fallon postures up.
Fallon is keen to just control but Walker is a slippery customer. Fallon moves into full mount! Walker won't be happy about that! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fallon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fallon looking to ground and pound but Walker is blocking nicely. Walker is trying to escape the mount.
Neil Fallon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fallon sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Walker flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
