Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zac Dane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zac Dane will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jesse Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zac Dane! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dane fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones. Horrible takedown by Dane or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad. Jones feints and as Dane raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Jones passes Dane's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Dane is defending against the submission attempts here by Jones.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones seems to be working for a kimura but Dane defends the submission attempt. Jones throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Dane to regain full guard. Dane can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace. Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jones stands and steps away. Dane gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dane shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Dane tries to land a front kick but Jones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Dane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Good leg kick by Dane there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dane closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Jesse Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zac Dane. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dane sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Jones seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Dane taking some punishment here, with Jones in his half guard. Jones is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dane is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
