Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Loyoto Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dallas Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Loyoto Cruz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Loyoto Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dallas Riley! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Riley was covering up waiting for the punch and Cruz finishes the takedown easily into guard. Riley looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Cruz looking to pass the guard. Cruz trying to control the position from guard on top but Riley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cruz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Loyoto Cruz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Riley tries to sprawl but Cruz drives through with a takedown into half guard. Cruz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Riley manages to get to full guard. Riley being controlled here, momentarily. Riley looking to control.
Riley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cruz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cruz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cruz wants to stand but Riley is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruz pushing down on Riley's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Riley manages to get to full guard.
Riley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cruz lands a couple of digs. Riley keeping full guard, as Cruz tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cruz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Riley keeping moving, preventing Cruz from controlling successfully. Riley wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cruz manages to pass to side control. Well, if Cruz is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Cruz there. Riley wants to get back to his feet.
Cruz controlling the action here. Cruz trying to control from half guard but Riley is working away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Riley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cruz looks for a takedown but Riley sprawls well. Cruz scores with a takedown into Riley's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cruz stands up from Riley's guard - Cruz perhaps looking for a knockout. Riley circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Riley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cruz napping and manages to drive through into side control! Cruz tries to improve position but can't. Cruz can't do much from the bottom here. Loyoto Cruz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Riley landing a few strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cruz is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Riley is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Cruz is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruz trying to control the action but Riley just sinks the hooks in. Riley looking for the choke but no joy. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cruz just trying to survive but Riley is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Cruz is really stuck here.
