The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but St Pierre paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Robertson is looking to clinch but St Pierre is avoiding it.
St Pierre closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Robertson to the mat! Robertson manages to get full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
St Pierre throws a big elbow that misses.
St Pierre wants to pass the guard but Robertson is keeping the position.
Robertson trying to keep a closed guard but St Pierre is proving a slippery customer.
St Pierre advances position into side control!
Robertson wants to control but St Pierre postures up.
Robertson is looking to regain half guard here but St Pierre keeps moving and retains side control.
Who's going to make the next move?
St Pierre is working to tighten is grip on Robertson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Robertson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but St Pierre is really squeezing tight and eventually Robertson passes out! St Pierre breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
