Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Saint Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benedict Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vader has chosen Kanye West & Jay-Z- Never let me down as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Benedict Vader was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vader has Saint Pierre up against the cage in a clinch.
Saint Pierre pulls guard successfully.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Vader postures up and lands a big shot to Saint Pierre's brow.
Saint Pierre controls Vader momentarily but Vader frees himself.
Vader in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Saint Pierre working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vader.
Vader postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Saint Pierre is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Vader, into his guard.
Vader wants to get back to his feet but Saint Pierre is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Saint Pierre wanted to stand there but Vader had control of the position.

Saint Pierre avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Saint Pierre would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Vader can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Saint Pierre controls the pace.
Vader is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Saint Pierre defends well.

Vader is looking to sweep but instead, Saint Pierre has passed into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Vader has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Saint Pierre is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Saint Pierre wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Vader's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Vader has Saint Pierre pressed against the cage, preventing Saint Pierre from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Saint Pierre feints a jab promting Vader to slip. Saint Pierre then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Vader slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Saint Pierre looks to land a combination but Vader avoids it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Horrible takedown by Vader or perhaps it was just good defense by Saint Pierre which made him look bad.
George Saint Pierre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benedict Vader.

That was a close round but I would say that George Saint Pierre will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Saint Pierre closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Saint Pierre scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Saint Pierre shoots for a double leg takedown but Vader sprawls well. He's pushed Saint Pierre's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Saint Pierre looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vader closes the distance and pushes Saint Pierre back into the cage.
Vader goes for a takedown attempt but Saint Pierre pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Saint Pierre is looking to break free of the clinch but Vader has double underhooks.
Saint Pierre will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Vader up against the cage.

Vader has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Saint Pierre after a bit of a struggle.

Saint Pierre changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vader tries to avoid it but Saint Pierre manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vader to the ground. Vader escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Vader rushes Saint Pierre and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Vader pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Saint Pierre wants to clinch up but Vader keeps it at a distance.
Vader walks into a jab.
Vader shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Saint Pierre pinned against the cage. Saint Pierre gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vader is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Saint Pierre wants to clinch up but Vader keeps it at a distance.
Benedict Vader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vader throws a hook but Saint Pierre blocks it.
A telegraphed right hand from Vader misses the target.

and Saint Pierre counters with a left and a right that stings Vader.
Saint Pierre tries to clinch but Vader moves out of range.
Vader fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Saint Pierre manages to avoid it.

Vader takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Vader throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
George Saint Pierre is winning the standup battle so far.
Vader keeps the fight on the outside.
Saint Pierre fails in his attempt to clinch.
Saint Pierre shoots in and bounces Vader off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Vader wants to stand up but Saint Pierre is controlling him.
Saint Pierre wants to control from the top but Vader keeps moving.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vader is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Saint Pierre.

Vader tries to move into range but Saint Pierre moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Vader is rocked!
Saint Pierre goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Vader is still on wobbly legs! Can Saint Pierre finish him?
Saint Pierre fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Vader checks it well.
Saint Pierre has taken the fight to the clinch.
Saint Pierre dips a shoulder and cracks Vader with a mighty uppercut! Vader falls back against the cage and Saint Pierre unloads with a barrage of strikes! Vader is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Saint Pierre screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
