Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Drake! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor shoots and misses and Drake connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Taylor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Drake is looking to get to half guard. Taylor controlling from the full mount. Taylor seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Drake for as long as he can get away with. Drake tries to get back to half guard but can't. Taylor raining down hammerfists from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Taylor controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Drake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taylor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Taylor has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of James Taylor. Taylor shoots in and drives through. Drake sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drake displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Taylor. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taylor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Drake throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Taylor. Taylor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Drake counters with a stiff right hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Taylor shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Drake pinned against the cage. Drake gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Taylor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Drake circles away. Drake gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Taylor to score an easy takedown into full guard. Taylor controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drake is trying to control the position but Taylor postures up. Drake has Taylor pulled in close to control his posture. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Nathan Drake hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nice sprawl there from Drake as Taylor shoots in. Taylor shoots in looking for a takedown but Drake manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Taylor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Taylor dodges the punch combination from Drake.
Taylor is trying hard to land a takedown here. Drake sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Taylor is breathing heavily. Taylor misses with a takedown attempt and Drake counters with a crisp one two that drops Taylor! Drake thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Taylor to his feet! Taylor is in big trouble!
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drake fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

James Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Drake swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Drake, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Taylor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Drake sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Taylor somewhat. Taylor fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Drake looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Nathan Drake dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Drake leaves Taylor with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. James Taylor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Taylor closes the distance and clinches up with Drake, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes Drake against the cage but Drake circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Drake connects with a nice looking jab.
Taylor fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Drake slaps away a takedown attempt from Taylor, before circling back to the center of the mat. Drake defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Taylor. No luck for Drake with that takedown attempt. Taylor doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Drake to counter with a crisp jab. Drake should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Drake is trying hard to land a takedown here. Taylor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Taylor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drake stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Drake wants it to stay on the feet. Drake shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Drake showed some decent athleticism there. Drake is trying to work for a kimura but Taylor is defending well.
Drake not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. James Taylor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drake not landing any meaningful shots this time. Drake looks to land a strike but Taylor avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Taylor managing to control the position. Drake wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving. Taylor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drake is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Nathan Drake was stalling too much, according to the referee. Taylor shoots for a double leg takedown but Drake sprawls well. He's pushed Taylor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Taylor scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Drake trying to remain calm as Taylor controls from the top position. Taylor passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Drake! Taylor looking to finish Drake with some ground and pound. This is bad for Drake! Drake is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Drake is working to get back to half guard.
Drake is in a horrible position here. Taylor smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Taylor is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Drake can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taylor controlling from mount. Taylor breaks from Drake's wrist control and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Nathan Drake will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Drake can do anything to dispel that myth. Drake working to try and regain half guard.

We're going to have a standup here because James Taylor wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Taylor drives through with a takedown into guard. Taylor working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Taylor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Taylor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Drake tries to buck Taylor off but Taylor is having none of it. Drake trying to remain calm as Taylor controls from the top position.
