PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vasara Hai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Eaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Eaton told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hai tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Eaton swivels and escapes.
Eaton throws a series of strikes that have Hai backpedaling.
Vasara Hai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hai shoots for a takedown but Eaton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hai.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vasara Hai. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Eaton has closed the distance and engaged Hai in a clinch.

Hai turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Hai fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Hai decides to stand back up. Hai steps back and let's Eaton get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Eaton cracks a nice hook into Hai's ribs.
Hai shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Eaton as he jumps to the side.
Eaton thumps Hai with a low kick.
Mark Eaton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hai takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Eaton looks to land a combination but Hai avoids it well.
Eaton slaps away a takedown attempt from Hai, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A head kick from Eaton lands but Hai takes it in his stride.
Hai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Eaton avoids it really well and circles away.
Eaton displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Hai is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A nice combination there by Eaton.

Hai is rocked!
No joy there for Eaton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oh Hai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Eaton is pawing at Hai, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Hai's nose. Hai is badly hurt! Eaton pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Hai tries desperately to hold on but Eaton is relentless in his assault! As Hai receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Eaton away and this one is in the books!
