Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anthony Head is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cain Carwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Head! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Head moves into range and clinches up with Carwin. The is referee keeping an eye on Head - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Head changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Carwin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Carwin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Head circles away. Head closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Head breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Head blocks a head kick by Carwin.
Carwin keeps the fight on the outside. A solid leg kick lands there for Head.
Anthony Head seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carwin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Head swivels and escapes. Head tries to close the distance and clinch but Carwin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Head looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Carwin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Head wants to control but Carwin postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin prevents Head from escaping the position. Head tries to bench press Carwin off him but Carwin keeps the position. Carwin throwing shots but missing, from side control. Carwin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Carwin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Head manages to get back to half guard. Carwin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nice strikes from Carwin there. Head is trying to stand up here but Carwin is controlling him well. Head is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carwin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carwin's back! Carwin is trying to break free.
Carwin is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Carwin trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Head is hanging on to Carwin's back as he tries to escape.
Carwin staying busy and making it hard for Head to control. Head lands shots from the back. Carwin just trying to survive but Head is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Carwin is trapped and Head is scoring with shots to the head and body. Head lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Carwin hold on?!
Can Carwin hold on?! Head is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Carwin turns into Head and is now in his guard.
Carwin prevents Head from getting back to his feet. Head has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Head is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Head thows a huge punch but Carwin dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Head's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Head's back! Head rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Head makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Head. Carwin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Head swivels though and keeps the full guard. Head trying to keep a closed guard but Carwin is proving a slippery customer.
Carwin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Carwin trying to control but Head is working from the bottom. Head manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carwin manages to get himself to full guard.
Head stays in close to Carwin's body and controls the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carwin controls Head momentarily but Head frees himself. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carwin is on top in guard.
Head keeping moving, preventing Carwin from controlling successfully. Head bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carwin's guard. Carwin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Head on the ground. Carwin has momentary wrist control but Head slips an elbow through the middle. Head has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Carwin is proving hard to escape from. Carwin keeping full guard, as Head tries to pass. Carwin throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anthony Head dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Head misses with the combination.
Head scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Head doesn't manage to clinch there - Carwin circles away.
Head shoots and misses and Carwin counters with a shoot takedown. Head fights it but they end up in guard. Carwin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Carwin advances position into side control! Carwin wants to control but Head is keeping him busy. Head is looking for a sweep. Carwin working the ground and pound from side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Head is looking to reverse the position. Carwin working the head with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Head wants to get back to his feet. Carwin scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Head to see if he's OK. Carwin grinds an elbow into Head's temple. Head is looking to regain half guard here but Carwin keeps moving and retains side control. Head takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Carwin in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The referee asks Carwin politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Carwin prefers to stall for the moment though. Head tries to bench press Carwin off him but Carwin keeps the position. Head gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Head really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Head is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Head throwing hammer fists to the chest of Carwin. What's that going to do exactly? Carwin lands a big elbow. Head gets back to half guard. Carwin is thwarting Head's attempts to control the position. Head wants to get back to his feet.
Head moves into full guard.
Head looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin wants to pass the guard but Head is keeping the position. Head manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carwin manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carwin tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carwin lands some strikes from the bottom. Head wants to stand but Carwin has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Carwin pulls Head in close to prevent any damage. Carwin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Head's guard. Carwin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Cain Carwin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Carwin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Carwin scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carwin showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Carwin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Carwin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Carwin wants to control from the top but Head keeps moving. Carwin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Carwin throwing strikes from guard but Head blocks nicely. Head trying to keep a closed guard but Carwin is proving a slippery customer.

Cain Carwin dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Carwin keeps the fight on the outside. Head is looking to clinch but Carwin is avoiding it.
Carwin with a poor takedown and Head counters with an inside leg kick. Head fails with an attempt to clinch.
Head lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Head tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Carwin tries for a takedown but Head circles away easily and Head counters with a leg kick. Head shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Carwin is looking for a sweep. Head is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Head takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin keeping hold of Head's head, controlling as best he can. Carwin moves into full guard.
Carwin wants to sweep here but Head controlling him for the moment. Head throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carwin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Carwin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Carwin landing strikes from the mount. Carwin cracks Head with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Head slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Head on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Head has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carwin is working away from the top position though. Carwin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Head is pressing down on Carwin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Head wants to stand up but Carwin is controlling him. Head manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carwin manages to get himself to full guard.
Head thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Carwin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Head throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Head wants to control from the top but Carwin keeps moving. Head passes easily into side control. Nice work. Head decides to take the fight back to the feet. Carwin with a poor takedown and Head counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cain Carwin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Head tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carwin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Head avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carwin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Head sprawls well initially but Carwin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Carwin in particular looking to stall. Head is trying to get back to full guard. Head is trying to maintain the position but Carwin is very close to passing his half guard. Head throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Head is staying active underneath Carwin, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Carwin prevents Head from standing back up.
Carwin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Head wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carwin shoots and misses and Head counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Head tries to clinch up but Carwin circles away and keeps his distance.
And that's the end of the fight! Anthony Head comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Head has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
