Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frank Dux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Kawasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Dux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Kawasaki!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawasaki throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Dux shoots in looking for a takedown but Kawasaki manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dux's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dux is defended easily by Kawasaki.
Dux fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Dux. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dux shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kawasaki counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dux's guard now.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kawasaki wants to control from the top but Dux keeps moving.
Dux wants to stand and escape but Kawasaki is having none of it.
Dux working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kawasaki.
Kawasaki cracks Dux with a solid left hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dux keeping full guard, as Kawasaki tries to pass.
Kawasaki prevents Dux from getting back to his feet.
Kawasaki would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Dux is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dux is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kawasaki pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Dux is looking for a takedown.

Kawasaki manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Kawasaki manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Dux is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Kawasaki is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kawasaki thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Dux is trying to stand up.

Dux trying desperately to get to his feet.

Dux is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Kawasaki punching from mount but Dux doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Kawasaki lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dux hang on?
Dux's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Kawasaki working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Dux is squirming around, avoiding Kawasaki's attempts to control the action.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dux really wants to buck Kawasaki off and get back to his feet.
Kawasaki with shots to the head and body - Dux looks very uncomfortable down there.

Kawasaki has hold of Dux's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dux manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kawasaki sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Dux wants to get back to his feet.

Kawasaki is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dux to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dux shrugs it off.
You get the feeling that Dux really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Kawasaki throwing strikes here but Dux is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dux is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Kawasaki scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Dux?
Dux might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kawasaki won't let Dux get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Kawasaki looking to control and managing it successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dux is trying to stand up.
Dux is breathing heavily.
Kawasaki working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Kawasaki working the ground and pound effectively.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kawasaki scores with a couple of good head shots there.


Dux is rocked!
Dux wants to try and get back to his feet.
Kawasaki is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dux can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Oh Dux is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kawasaki loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Dux scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kawasaki land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kawasaki stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lee Kawasaki!
Lee Kawasaki decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
