Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Craig David - Rise and Fall. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Craig David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Peters!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.


It looks like Craig David has been cut.
Peters fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and David has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Peters fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Peters tries to bum rush David with a series of wild strikes but David uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
David misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
David takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Peters fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Peters lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but David circles away quickly and effectively.
Peters lands with a cross.
David closes the distance and clinches up with Peters, looking for a takedown. David pushes Peters against the cage but Peters circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Peters throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A nice combination there by Peters.
Peters lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Peters fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt David.
David showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Peters.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peters slaps away a takedown attempt from David, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nice takedown defense from Peters. No joy for David on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Craig David. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Peters lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but David circles away quickly and effectively.
David misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Peters lands a jab-cross combination.


Craig David's cut is getting worse.
Peters lands a really nice looking cross but David seems unphased.


Craig David's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from David.
David is breathing heavily.
Peters fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Peters throws a right and a left that David avoids nicely.
David shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Peters throws a right hand that David ducks under and follows up with a left that David also avoids with ease.
David Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
David misses with a takedown attempt - Peters sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Good exchange - Peters coming out on top.
David slips a jab and a cross from Peters.
A lazy left from Peters finds it's target.
Peters rushes David with punches - David moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, David goes down! Peters follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Peters!
Our winner, David Peters, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
