The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves moves into the clinch.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Alves is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Terrier is aware though and is defending well.

Alves manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Alves takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
