Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kj Barakus!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barakus takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Kj Barakus has been cut.
Taylor changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Barakus is trying hard to land a takedown here. Taylor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Barakus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Barakus with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Taylor to score with a decent uppercut.
Oooooh!!! Taylor has knocked Barakus down with a huge combo! Taylor steps away and waves a wobbly Barakus back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Barakus is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Taylor misses with a body shot.
Barakus gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Barakus tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Taylor is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Barakus buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Barakus!! Barakus is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Taylor throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Taylor!
