Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saito fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Funkyama checks it well.
Funkyama throws a head kick that misses.
Saito moves into the clinch.
Saito has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Funkyama is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Funkyama escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Iwao Saito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Iwao Saito has been cut.
Saito swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Saito will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Funkyama lands a slapping body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Funkyama lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Funkyama feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Saito sprawling to the canvas! Saito rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Funkyama finish him?!
Saito is rocked!
Funkyama closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Saito out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Fedor Funkyama!
