Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jun Kawasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kawasaki's entrance music is Linkin Park - Bleed It Out. A fine choice. Michael Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jun Kawasaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Jones! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a straight right. Kawasaki tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Kawasaki walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Kawasaki throws a jab when Jones was well out of range. Kawasaki ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kawasaki throws a chopping leg kick but Jones manages to avoid taking any serious damage. The fight stays on the outside here - Kawasaki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kawasaki tries to clinch up and Jones counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A nice leg kick lands there from Kawasaki. Jones avoids a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kawasaki. Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kawasaki defends it nicely. Kawasaki lands with a nice body kick. Kawasaki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones. Decent striking displayed by Kawasaki there. Kawasaki is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nice shot lands for Kawasaki.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kawasaki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kawasaki does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kawasaki trying to control but Jones postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Kawasaki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nice strikes from Jones there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kawasaki wants to control but Jones passes into side.
Kawasaki tries to buck Jones off but Jones is having none of it. Jones wants to control for a moment but Kawasaki uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Kawasaki is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard. Jones trying to pass the guard but Kawasaki defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones drops an elbow to the side of Kawasaki's head. Kawasaki is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kawasaki avoid being mounted? Jones takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kawasaki slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kawasaki being controlled here, momentarily. Kawasaki avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jones throwing strikes but missing. Kawasaki preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kawasaki is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Kawasaki throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jones uses it to pass to side control.

Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jones wants to control but Kawasaki is keeping him busy. Kawasaki is looking for a sweep. Kawasaki is not content to let Jones control the position. Kawasaki tries to buck Jones off but Jones is having none of it.

Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kawasaki keeps working. Kawasaki tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. Kawasaki wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kawasaki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Kawasaki's legs - danger averted. Kawasaki has momentary wrist control but Jones slips an elbow through the middle. Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kawasaki keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Kawasaki. Kawasaki looking to control.
Jones wants to control from the top but Kawasaki keeps moving. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Kawasaki is retaining full guard. Kawasaki looking to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones won't allow Kawasaki to sweep him here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A big left from Kawasaki misses. Kawasaki wants to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Michael Jones will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Jones closes the distance and clinches. Kawasaki is defending well against a takedown attempt. Jones has picked Kawasaki up - he's going for a ride! Jones dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Jones is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Kawasaki wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow. Kawasaki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kawasaki is working hard here to advance position. Kawasaki is not content to let Jones control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones uses his free foot to push down on Kawasaki's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kawasaki. Jones is in the full mount, landing strikes. Kawasaki is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jones looking to finish Kawasaki with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kawasaki! Michael Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Kawasaki is in a horrible position here. Jones smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Jones with shots to the head and body - Kawasaki looks very uncomfortable down there. Jones cracks Kawasaki with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones landing shots from mount. Kawasaki is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount. Kawasaki is in a horrible position here. Jones smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Kawasaki is looking to get to half guard. Jones landing strikes, looking to finish! Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Kawasaki is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Kawasaki working to try and regain half guard.
Jones breaks from Kawasaki's wrist control and lands an elbow. Jones is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Kawasaki is rocked! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Oh Kawasaki is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jones is in the full mount, landing strikes. Jones drops a big elbow. That's hurt Kawasaki! More shots from Jones and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Jones! A relieved looking Michael Jones thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
