Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gorilla Gorilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynch's entrance music is System of a down- Chop Suey. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorilla misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lynch misses the shot to the body.
Lynch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gorilla tries to avoid it but Lynch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gorilla to the ground. Gorilla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gorilla throws the left hand but Lynch avoids the punch easily.
Jeremy Lynch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gorilla looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gorilla closes the distance and pushes Lynch back into the cage.

Gorilla's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lynch lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gorilla at a distance.

Lynch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lynch shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gorilla sprawls well. Gorilla wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lynch gets slowly back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gorilla enables Lynch to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gorilla manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gorilla can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lynch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gorilla keeps working.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gorilla pushes Lynch away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lynch gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Lynch has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gorilla is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Lynch yanks on the arm and Gorilla is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Lynch.
