Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Halliday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Sagoth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mickey Halliday! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Sagoth! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Halliday looks to throw the jab but Sagoth is out of range. Horrible takedown by Halliday or perhaps it was just good defense by Sagoth which made him look bad. Halliday moves into the clinch. Halliday breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Halliday fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sagoth is out of range. Halliday throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sagoth wants to clinch and Halliday counters with a good low kick that Sagoth was not able to check. Halliday keeps the fight on the outside. No joy there for Halliday, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Halliday leaves Sagoth with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sagoth fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sagoth throws a quick inside leg kick. Sagoth blocks a jab. Halliday looks to land a combination but Sagoth avoids it well. A jab lands there for Halliday. Sagoth misses with a series of wild punches.

Halliday has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Sagoth takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Sagoth is looking to clinch. A left and a right from Halliday both land. Nice combination. A head kick misses from Halliday. Halliday will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mickey Halliday has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Sagoth. Sagoth shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Halliday as he avoids it easily. Sagoth throws a sloppy head kick and Halliday moves out of range easily. Sagoth tries to clinch there but Halliday circles away.

Halliday breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sagoth tries to clinch up and Halliday counters with a good low kick that Sagoth was not able to check. Nice jab there from Halliday. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Halliday lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Halliday is looking to score with low kicks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sagoth tries to close the distance and clinch up but Halliday swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sagoth checks a leg kick. Halliday lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sagoth circles away quickly and effectively. Sagoth tries to clinch but fails miserably and Halliday counters with a head kick. That will keep Sagoth thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Halliday lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Halliday misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Halliday moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Halliday rushes Sagoth and presses him up against the cage.

Halliday blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Halliday tries to score a body lock takedown but Sagoth shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Sagoth prevents Halliday from breaking the clinch. Halliday escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sagoth displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Halliday throws out the jab. Halliday defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sagoth. Sagoth tries to clinch up and Halliday counters with a three punch combo that has Sagoth backing up. Sagoth nods at Halliday to acknowledge the strikes. Sagoth tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Halliday was well out of range. Poor timing from Sagoth. Mickey Halliday is winning the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halliday looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sagoth throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Halliday's head. Halliday connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sagoth momentarily.

Halliday closes the distance and pushes Sagoth back into the cage. Halliday is trying to force a seperation but Sagoth has the dominant position. Halliday manages to break the clinch.

Sagoth fails with a takedown attempt. Mickey Halliday has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Sagoth. Sagoth throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Halliday's waist but Halliday gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sagoth off to one side. Sagoth stuns Halliday with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Halliday misses with a low kick.

Sagoth moves to clinch but Halliday breaks away and Halliday counters with a three punch combo that has Sagoth backing up. Sagoth nods at Halliday to acknowledge the strikes. Sagoth with a lazy takedown attempt and Halliday makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Halliday instigates a clinch. Halliday manages to break the clinch.
Sagoth shoots in looking for a takedown. Halliday tries to sprawl out of it but Sagoth keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Halliday manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Halliday clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mickey Halliday dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Halliday clobbers Sagoth with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Sagoth tries to clinch but fails miserably and Halliday moves into the clinch. Halliday tries to break free but Sagoth pushes him back against the cage. Sagoth jumps guard but Halliday stands there with Sagoth around his waist. Sagoth gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sagoth misses with a hook from the clinch. Sagoth gets through Halliday's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Halliday breaks from the clinch.

Crunch! Halliday slams his shin into Sagoth's torso.

Halliday is trying to push Sagoth away but Sagoth has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A battle for position here, against the cage. Halliday pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sagoth tries to clinch but Halliday moves away and Halliday counters with a two punch combo. Some bone on bone action there as Sagoth checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Sagoth throws a sloppy head kick and Halliday counters by moving into the clinch. Halliday gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sagoth.

Mickey Halliday has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Sagoth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sagoth tries to land knees in the clinch but Halliday avoids the damage to the body. Halliday breaks the clinch.
Sagoth ducks right into an uppercut from Halliday. Halliday jabbing away but nothing is landing. Halliday stuffs the takedown attempt from Sagoth. Sagoth gets slowly back to his feet. Halliday misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halliday throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sagoth's head. Sagoth has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sagoth there as he acknowledges the shot. Halliday pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sagoth back to the cage. Halliday follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Halliday moves into the clinch successfully.

Sagoth tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sloppy strikes from Halliday. Those never looked like landing. Sagoth fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Halliday throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Halliday swats away the attempt to clinch by Sagoth. John Sagoth has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Halliday feints and as Sagoth raises his hands in defense, Halliday changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Sagoth is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sagoth takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sagoth has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Halliday can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Mickey Halliday showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Halliday, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
