Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Daffy Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Viktor Bagrationov!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Drake there.
Bagrationov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Drake tries to avoid it but Bagrationov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Drake to the ground. Drake escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bagrationov lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Bagrationov throws a head kick that Drake semi-blocks.
Drake throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Bagrationov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Drake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bagrationov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Drake is tightening it up a little... Bagrationov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bagrationov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bagrationov taps out! Nice BJJ there by Drake!
