Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sir Drax!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drax tries to keep at a distance but Johnson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Johnson connects with the punch.
Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Drax moves out of range.
A combination from Drax does no damage.
Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Drax counters with a single leg into guard. Johnson didn't expect that.
Drax won't allow Johnson to sweep him here.
Johnson wants to stand but Drax is controlling the position.
Drax throws and elbow that misses. Johnson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Drax's guard. Nice move by Johnson!
Drax wants to sweep here but Johnson controlling him for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Drax is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Drax is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.
Drax bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson's guard.
Johnson pulls Drax in close to prevent any damage.
Drax pushing down on Johnson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Johnson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Drax is pressing down on Johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnson is holding on for now.
Johnson keeping control of the position.

Drax working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Johnson's thigh. Johnson counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Drax slips nicely into half guard.
Drax is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johnson is just riding it out for now. Drax eventually gives up the hold.

Johnson is looking to escape.

Drax is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Johnson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
