Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafa Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henderson's entrance music is American Bad Ass. A fine choice. Silva has chosen UFC Theme Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva scoring well with a low kick there.
Nice body punch from Henderson.
Henderson misses with a shot to the body
and Silva counters with a series of strikes. Henderson will be more careful next time no doubt.

Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Henderson is working away from the top position though.
Silva manages to get to full guard.
Henderson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Henderson stands and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Silva manages to get to full guard.
Silva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Silva has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Henderson has passed into side control.
Henderson grinds an elbow into Silva's temple.

Henderson with the ground and pound but Silva regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Henderson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Henderson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silva's head.
Silva tries to roll over but Henderson keeps him under control.
Silva is trying to control but Henderson manages to pass to mount!
Henderson thowing shots but they're missing.
Henderson unloads with some shots from mount but Silva bucks and avoids them well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva tries to lock up and control but Henderson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Silva blocking the ground and pound.
Henderson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Silva because Henderson loaded up on that one.
Henderson avoids the attempt from Silva to control.
Henderson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A close round but Rafa Silva will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Henderson tries to move into range but Silva moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Silva lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Henderson moves out of range of the body kick from Silva.

and Silva counters with a low kick, right behind Henderson 's knee.
Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Henderson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Silva lands a slapping body shot.
Silva thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Henderson if he has to take too many more of those.
Henderson throws a leg kick but Silva sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Henderson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Silva lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Henderson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Henderson thows a body shot but no joy.
Henderson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Henderson thumps Silva with a low kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Silva.
Henderson moves out of range of the body kick.
Silva lands with a nice body kick.
Silva fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Silva slips under a jab from Henderson.
Henderson is looking to wear down Silva with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Silva scores with a push kick.
Silva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Henderson throws out the jab.
Henderson misses the shot to the body.

Good leg kick by Silva there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Henderson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Henderson.
Henderson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Silva throws a wild body kick that Henderson sees coming a mile off.

Henderson throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Henderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.

Rafa Silva seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Henderson misses with a right hand
and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silva thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Henderson if he has to take too many more of those.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva thuds his right hand into Henderson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Henderson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Silva throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Henderson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Henderson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Henderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Henderson walks forward, straight into a front kick from Silva.
Mike Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Henderson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silva lands a big head kick that sends Henderson tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves Henderson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Henderson is rocked!
It looks like Mike Henderson has been cut.
Silva drops Henderson with a naaaaasty hook - Henderson is in real trouble here! Silva dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
