Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Izanagami Kami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luigi Fry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Izanagami Kami has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Izanagami Kami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luigi Fry!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kami stuffs the takedown attempt from Fry. Fry gets slowly back to his feet.
Fry shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kami defends it nicely.
Kami will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Fry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kami tries to buck Fry off but Fry is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fry is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kami knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kami tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fry wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Fry trying to control the action but Kami is working from the bottom.

Fry is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kami is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kami tries to bench press Fry off him but Fry keeps the position.

Fry landing strikes.

Fry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fry looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kami sneaks back into half guard.
Kami tries to roll over but Fry keeps him under control.
Kami moves into full guard.

Kami throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Fry got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kami has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fry has managed to get both his arms back between Kami's legs - danger averted.

Fry is in close to Kami's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fry postures up and lands a big shot to Kami's brow.
Fry stands and throws Kami's legs to the side, diving into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kami manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fry's best efforts.

Fry is working for a kimura but Kami is defending it quite comfortably.

Fry wants to work for an arm triangle but Kami is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kami actively working from the bottom here.
Kami wants to stand back up but Fry manages to pass into side control.

Fry wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kami, who protects the arm well.

Kami manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Fry looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kami kicks Fry off and gets back to his feet.
Kami tries to close the distance and clinch but Fry swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck for Fry with that takedown attempt.
Izanagami Kami has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luigi Fry.
Fry misses with a takedown attempt - Kami sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fry shoots for a double leg takedown but Kami sprawls well. He's pushed Fry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kami displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fry throws out the jab.

Fry shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kami is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kami is working hard here to advance position.
Kami tries to buck Fry off but he can't manage it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fry trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Kami tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fry in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fry looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Fry looking for a guillotine from mount but Kami is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luigi Fry dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Fry throws a hook but Kami avoids it easily.

Kami rushes Fry and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Fry is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kami to keep the fight standing.

Fry drops back looking for a leg! Kami is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kami manages to kick Fry off! Fry jumps back into Kami's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fry scores with a couple of short elbows.
Kami is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Kami wants to get back to his feet but Fry drags him back down.

Fry is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kami knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Fry thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Fry is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kami has escaped the position, nice work there.

Fry works to advance to full mount. Kami defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kami is in all sorts of trouble here.

Fry with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kami keeps working.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kami is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Kami sneaks out the side door and pushes Fry away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
Luigi Fry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Fry has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
