Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shakyamuni Buddha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pico Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigo pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Buddha decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rodrigo's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Buddha's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Buddha connects with a nice short shot to Rodrigo's temple.

Buddha scores with a big shot! Rodrigo's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Rodrigo! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shakyamuni Buddha!
In his post fight interview, Shakyamuni Buddha started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
