Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mak Mokowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Drexler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mokowski kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die. Mak Mokowski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mak Mokowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Drexler! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drexler closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Drexler trying to mount his opponent but Mokowski defends it. Drexler is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Drexler trying to control the pace. Mokowski has one foot on Drexler's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Drexler takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Jon Drexler has been cut. A combination from Mokowski does no damage. Drexler connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mokowski's hands. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Drexler blocks a head kick by Mokowski.
Drexler rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mokowski moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mokowski throws a left and a right that both miss
and Drexler counters with a single leg into guard. Mokowski didn't expect that. Drexler pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mokowski is keeping the position for now. Drexler controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jon Drexler hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Mokowski gets tackled into the cage by Drexler. Drexler maintains the clinch. Mokowski stops a takedown attempt from Drexler.
Mokowski is trying to break the clinch but Drexler is controlling him. Drexler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mokowski tries to bum rush Drexler with a series of wild strikes but Drexler uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Drexler has Mokowski up against the cage in a clinch.
Drexler comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Drexler is stalling here.
Drexler has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mokowski after a bit of a struggle. Mokowski wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. The referee is keeping an eye on Drexler - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Drexler keeps control of Mokowski as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Drexler taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

It looks like Mak Mokowski has been cut. Drexler holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Drexler lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Mokowski can't break the clinch.
Mokowski tries to break the clinch but Drexler is controlling the position. Drexler tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mokowski avoids it. Mokowski managing to block the knees to the body from Drexler.
Drexler will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mokowski up against the cage. Drexler wants a takedown but no success here.
Mak Mokowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Drexler.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jon Drexler. Good work by Drexler as he checks the leg kick. Mokowski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mokowski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Drexler shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Drexler was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Drexler lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Drexler won't let Mokowski get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Drexler postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mokowski looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! You get the feeling that Mokowski really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drexler controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Drexler dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Drexler blocks a head kick by Mokowski.
Mokowski's jab looks to have found its range, popping Drexler under the eye. Mokowski jabbing away but nothing is landing. Drexler fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mokowski, pushing him back against the cage. Drexler with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Drexler goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mokowski prevents it.
Drexler has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mokowski regains guard immediately. Mokowski is looking to stand back up but Drexler counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mokowski. Drexler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mokowski pushes Drexler off looking to stand but Drexler dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drexler looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Drexler connects with a nice short shot to Mokowski's temple. Drexler seems to be working for a kimura but Mokowski defends the submission attempt. Drexler wants to pass the guard but Mokowski is defending well. Drexler stalling. Drexler thows a huge punch but Mokowski dodges it nicely.
Drexler keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Drexler working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drexler missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Mokowski is trying to escape back to his feet but Drexler uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Drexler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Drexler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drexler lands a decent elbow from side control. Mokowski wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Drexler is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mokowski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mokowski is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Drexler has just dragged him back down to the mat. Jon Drexler has got the better of the ground game so far. Drexler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mokowski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mokowski takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Drexler scores with punches from side control. Drexler working the body and head with strikes. Drexler scoring with punches from side control. Mokowski wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Drexler tries for a kimura but Mokowski is defending well. Drexler moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Drexler lands a few punches from side control. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Mokowski squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Drexler takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mokowski is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Drexler content just to control the position here. Drexler is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mokowski can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drexler has control of Mokowski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mokowski regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Drexler tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Drexler won't let Mokowski get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Mak Mokowski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Drexler controlling his opponent. A nice elbow there by Drexler. Mokowski is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Drexler with a couple of short strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Drexler looking to finish Mokowski with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mokowski! Mokowski is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Drexler throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Mokowski has his hands clasped together but Drexler breaks the hold and Mokowski is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Drexler!
